Joe Biden returned to Michigan on Friday for a campaign event and delivered a speech-making clear that Donald Trump has turned his back on the people of his home state. Joe Biden is courting voters in the Republican stronghold of Ohio to run for re-election in 2020.
The president, who trails Democrat Joe Biden in recent polls, is scheduled to speak at a rally in Muskegon on Saturday. Tuesday’s stop is the first since he named Harris his running mate on August 11. On August 23, Obama officially declared his support for Biden’s re-election bid, and Biden secured the Democratic Party nomination on August 27. Obama also backed Biden on Tuesday, saying his former running mates embodied the spirit of respect for one another.
To counter that, Obama chose Biden, a veteran senator from Delaware with a long career as a foreign policy expert, as his vice-presidential running mate.
In his eight years as vice president, Joe Biden has cut tapes, delivered speeches, and delivered speeches in 36 years in the Senate. During his vice presidency, Biden was part of the team that negotiated the 2015 Iran nuclear deal during the Obama administration. As vice president, he led the government’s Cancer Moonshot Initiative, which was launched in 2016, the final year of Obama’s presidency.

Biden’s foreign policy may not give the world much whiplash than one might expect, but his 2020 presidential campaign is far from atonement for 2016. Biden is campaigning on the most aggressive climate program ever put forward by a US presidential candidate in a general election. He used to think that he could stop Donald Trump from ever becoming president; now he believes it’s too late for Democrats to get Trump out of the White House.
Should former Vice President Joe Biden win the presidential election, he will face an uphill battle against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and former Senator Bernie Sanders. Biden is raising more money and re-imagining himself to the American people as he defines it at a time when Americans are thinking about everything.
