The Joint Enterprise Defense Infrastructure, or JEDI, contract was granted to Microsoft last October. In November, Amazon recorded a notification in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims demonstrating an arrangement to fight the Pentagon’s choice to grant Microsoft the multibillion-dollar cloud contract. Amazon asserted that the JEDI assessment process contained “clear inadequacies, mistakes, and unquestionable predisposition.”

Amazon said in court reports made open last December that Trump propelled “off camera assaults” against the organization, which made it miss out on the JEDI contract. A portion of those supposed assaults were point by point in Mattis’ ongoing journal, in which the previous Defense Secretary guaranteed Trump guided him to “screw Amazon” out of the agreement.
