BYJU’S sets up INR 20 Cr CEO’s Fund To Help Employees Pay For Covid-Related Medical Expenses

We already came across several startups, business giants, and others coming together to help India fight the severe and fatal second wave of Covid-19. Thus, business ventures are coming up to help their employees and families by keeping aside a hallowed fund to cover the Covid related medical expenses of their workforce. 

Some other large-scaled startups such as Byju’s Oyo, Paytm and many more have created Covid funds for its employees and their families. To offer the much-needed financial support as the nation grapples with the deadly spread. 

With new fund by Byjus’s will let its workforce work stress free, and will give the sense of security during the pandemic. On the other hand, Unacemy has also dedicated over $1 million worth internal funds for the same purpose. 

The fund is yet to be announced officially, and most probably the details will be shared later in this week, stated by the senior executive. 

Moreover, another unicorn Oyo has also came up with a covid fund for its employees and of offering home care quarantine to positive covid case, by granting INR 25,000 per family. One of the sopkesperson at Oyo said- “our policy also involves reimbursement for RT-PCR test, pulse-oximeter and thermal scanning, oxygen charges and more. 

Lastly, as we already know, Paytm and CRED are already giving their piece of efforts for the betterment, and also offering advance salaries to their workforce to support them with unseen emergencies.
