Hours after the Union Authorities announced that the earlier West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya will likely be conferred with Padma Bhushan award, he refused to settle for it.A assertion issued by Bhattacharya acknowledged, “I know nothing about this award. Nobody has told me anything else about it. Comrade EMS who used to be earlier equipped an award had declined it.”On the assorted hand, senior BJP chief and MP Ravi Shankar Prasad took to Twitter and praised the High Minister Narendra Modi for conferring Padma Bhushan awards to senior Congress chief Ghulam Nabi Azad and former West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharya.“Conferring Padma Bhushan to Senior Congress chief Ghulam Nabi Azad and CPM chief and former Chief Minister of West Bengal Buddhadeb Bhattacharya Ji is a recognition of their contributions in public life. This additionally shows generosity of High Minister Narendra Modi and his dedication in democratic values,” tweeted Prasad.
