Gadkari visited Autoliv and E-Highway Test-Bed demonstration Site in Sweden

Union Minister for Road Transport & Highways and MSMEs Nitin Gadkari visited the Swedish Automotive Safety Supplier Autoliv in Stockholm on 18 February. He represented India at the 3rd High-Level Global Conference on Road Safety for Achieving Global Goals 2030. He also visited the E-Highway Test-Bed Demonstration Site in Sweden. Road Safety in India: The Minister presented a copy of the Report on Road Safety in India to the company representative.  India has committed to safety, efficiency, and sustainability in the transport sector. The problem of road safety is linked to social equity in India as there is a large number of pedestrians, cyclists and motorized two-wheelers competing for space on roads.  3rd High-Level Global Conference on Road Safety: The 3rd High-Level Global Conference on Road Safety for Achieving Global Goals 2030 is held in Stockholm, Sweden from 19-20 February. The conference aims to bring road safety on the global agenda and renew the world community’s commitment to safer roads.  Autoliv: Autoliv is the world’s largest automotive safety equipment supplier. It sells supplies to all major car manufacturers in the world.
