Heartbreaking news- Terror attack in Kashmir and not even the baby was spared

Srinagar- In the recent terror attack, a ten-month-old baby became the victim. This baby nestled in her mother’s arms was kicked to the ground by the two Jaish-e-Muhammed terrorists. Among them, one of them is identified as a Pakistani at the time of Sunday night’s attack in Pulwama which almost wiped out the immediate family of special police officer Fayaz Ahmad Bhat.

However, the slain policeman’s 21-year-old daughter died because of bullet injuries in the early Monday hours. Soon after her parents were shot dead in front of her at their home in Hariparigam village of Awantipora.

The terrorists turned with brandishing AK-47 rifles and their faces were covered and knocked on Bhat’s door, as per the police. However, the spray of bullets felled him as soon as he let them in and the next target was his wife Raja Bano. Their daughter Rafiqa Jan tried to step in and met the same fate. Notably, Bhat’s daughter-in-law Saima who was cradling her child was forced to hurry to safety after kicks landed on her and the baby.

Saima mentioned, “I begged for our lives but they didn’t spare even my baby. I dared not scream for fear of being shot like my in-laws were. I ran to another room after picking up my baby. I screamed and cried only after the killers left.”

Liyaqat Fayaz, who is with the Territorial Army and recently posted at Khrew in Pulwama who was on duty as the attack on his family was unfolded. Until he returns home after receiving a call from his wife, his parents were dead, and also his younger sister who was barely hanging on to life. Well, Rafiqa was moved to the SKIMS Hospital in Srinagar. Unfortunately, she died close to dawn on Monday
