India: 3-day search and rescue at sea off Kerala waft ends; 2 rescued, 1 ineffective

A 3-day-long search and rescue operation interesting ships and helicopters, off India’s Southern Flit came to an end on Thursday, after the mortal remains of a fisherman recovered. Shihab and two diversified fishermen had topic out to sea on the fishing boat ‘Badhar’ on Tuesday morning from Urupunya Kavu sea race, Kozhikode, Kerala. Their boat had capsized by midday, owing to inclement climate. 

Whereas the 2 fishermen who accompanied Shihab were rescued by nearby fishing boats, but the latter used to be missing. Per a ask from the Kerala Authorities, the Indian Flit Guard(ICG) at this time diverted ‘ICGS Arnvesh’ from its routine deployment to enact search and rescue. 

The Flit Guard vessel reached the point of the incident by Tuesday afternoon and applied an intensive search and along with a Flit Guard helicopter. By Wednesday morning, an ICG chopper and two ICG vessels were on the positioning finishing up search and rescue. Finally, the missing fisherman Shihab’s mortal remains were recovered on Thursday.
