Karnataka Hijab row: Pre-university, stage colleges to resume from February 16

The Karnataka executive on Monday determined to reopen pre-university and stage colleges across the remark, that had been shut due to the hijab row, from February 16. The resolution became taken at a gathering chaired by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, which became attended by Residence Minister Araga Jnanendra, Predominant and Secondary Training Minister B C Nagesh, Larger Training Minister C N Ashwath Narayan, and senior officers of the chief.

“At the assembly, the newest misfortune within the remark became analysed. It became resolute to reopen PU and Stage colleges from Wednesday,” Nagesh said. Talking to journalists after the assembly, he said the colleges will reopen on the premise of the Karnataka High Court docket’s length in-between yell. “Wherever (in colleges) there are uniform related principles, it must be strictly followed. The place a uniform is no longer there, the gown code will seemingly be determined. We are able to strictly apply the High Court docket yell,” he added.
