Manpreet Singh won the International Hockey Federation’s (FIH) Men’s Player of the Year award. He created a record as he became the first Indian hockey team player to win the awards since its inception in 1999. He won the award ahead of Arthur van Doren of Belgium and Lucas Vila of Argentina, who finished second and third respectively.
