National Grid work for Jacobs Morrison JV

The joint endeavor, called J1M, is engaged on varied substation initiatives in south Wales, Teesside and Hampshire.

As basic clothier and contractor, J1M is doing detailed invent and early works on the Pembroke substation project in Wales, to connect it to Eire’s Greenlink interconnector. Work entails the invent, present, installation and commissioning of a brand unique 400kV gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) extension within the existing substation.

J1M will be supporting the connection of the Dogger Bank C windfarm on the east bolt at Teesside into the transmission network at Lackenby substation. When complete this could also simply connect an establish in technology ability of 1.2GW from Dogger Bank C.

In Hampshire, J1M has a contract to voice National Grid’s unique 25kV Holly Tainted substation and fasten it to the Bramley 400kV substation to produce Network Rail.
