Origo Commodities launches digital auction platform for farmers

The agro-fintech startup Origo commodities announced on Thursday the launch of an e-auction platform that will allow seamless trading of commodities. 

The platform offers options like price discovery, price risk, trade settlement, forward and reverses auction, and more. It is the current need of farmers, processors, traders, and all those in the agriculture sector. 

This platform will allow all users to register digitally from their location via their smartphones, and receive notifications on upcoming auctions. 

The co-founder Sunoor Kaul said that after successes in the structured trade and supply chain, our efforts are now focused on streamlining via digital platforms that can address all concerns related to the commodities ecosystem. 

Lastly, the company also claims that it offers state-of-the-art warehouse management systems. It helps in the upgradation of supply chains. Moreover, securitized debt instruments to institutional investors and more.
