Proud Moment- Dinesh Patel’s exceptional creation humanoid robot

One of the proud moments of India, an Indian computer science teacher Dinesh Patel from Kendriya Vidyalaya in IIT Bombay has developed a Humanoid robot. He created “Shalu” by taking inspiration from “Sophia” which is the World’s first-ever. This is an AI-powered Humanoid robot.

Dinesh Patel mentioned, Humanoid robot “Shalu” is capable of speaking multiple languages and is capable of answering all the student queries. She is capable of reading current news, weather reports, and current news.

Not only this, it has the feel of common human emotions like smile and anger as well as performing gestures like shaking hands and engaging in casual social talks.

Unique characteristics of this humanoid robot is created out of waste materials like plastic, aluminum, cardboard, and many others that have been discarded.

Mr. Danish Patel accumulated all the materials from the local market by getting inspired by PM Modi’s Make in India mission.

When talking about the capability of this Humanoid robot, Shalu is capable of speaking 9 Indian languages and 38 foreign languages. As per Patel, it is the first robot in the world that is capable of speaking the 9 Indian languages.

Danish told IANS, “Shalu can recognize people, display emotions, read a newspaper, recite recipes, and perform many other activities. This can be used as a teacher in schools and as a receptionist in offices too.”

Netizens have applauded Dinesh Patel for all his efforts.

In November 2020, he has posted a video on Youtube. In that video, you will get to see Shalu is recognizing people and talking with them in different languages. You will find there is completely a Youtube channel that is dedicated to Shalu, the humanoid robot. Also, you can check out the channel for more updates on the robot and also its function.

Patel said, “Shalu has been developed using waste materials like plastic, cardboard, wood, aluminum, etc. It took three years to develop it and the expenditure was around Rs 50,000.”
