Rangeelo: Crafting Unique Ethnic Wear with Skilled Artisans and Traditional Techniques

Rangeelo is a clothing brand that specializes in ethnic wear for festivals and occasions. The company was founded in 2023 by Kushal Udaiwal and Preeti Udaiwal, who come from a family of traditional block printers. They work with over 100 artisans to create clothing using Sanganeri block prints and handprints. The clothing is made from fabrics like chanderi, georgette, cotton, mulmul, chiffon, and organza, and techniques like tie and dye, block printing, and embroidery are used to create unique pieces.

Approximately 70% of the artisans work exclusively for Rangeelo, while the rest work on an order-to-order basis. The company has in-house designers who create all the clothing, but they also take custom orders. The platform offers a range of sizing from XS to 3XL to be inclusive.

Rangeelo uses a direct-to-consumer model and delivers throughout India. It has seen a lot of success, with around 50% of its orders coming from Karnataka, Uttar Pradesh, and Maharashtra. In just 20 days of operations, the platform has earned Rs 12 lakh in revenue and is expecting to end the month of April with a revenue of Rs 22 lakhs.

The company aims to gain 6,000 new users within the next 6 months, producing a revenue of Rs 2.5 crore, and then Rs 5 crore by the end of the financial year. It also has plans to start an occasional wear brand in the kids’ wear section, Lilly Buds, within the next year.
