Rear Admiral Sanjay Jasjit Singh AVSM, NM took charge as the Commandant of the Naval War College, Goa on 18 February 2020. Sanjay Jasjit Singh: Sanjay Jasjit Singh has held a wide range of operational, training and staff appointments over the past three decades. He served as the Flag Officer Commanding, Western Fleet prior to the appointment. In 2009, he was the lead drafter of the Indian Navy’s Maritime Doctrine. In 2015, he served as the Strategic Guidance to Transformation and the Indian Maritime Security Strategy. Jasjit Singh has completed many postgraduate (PG) study programmes including MSc and MPhil in Defence and Strategic Studies from Madras University. He is an MA graduate in Defence Studies from Kings College, London. He holds a doctoral degree in Arts from the University of Mumbai.
