Roughriders beat Stampeders 33-30 in 2OT in CFL West semi

Brett Lauther made a 34-yard field function within the 2d beyond regular time to give the Saskatchewan Roughriders a 33-30 victory over the Calgary Stampeders on Sunday within the Canadian Football League’s West semifinals.

Saskatchewan will play at Winnipeg next Sunday within the West closing.

After each teams kicked field targets on their preliminary beyond regular time possessions, Calgary had the ball first within the 2d beyond regular time and Rene Paredes overlooked a 44-yard strive. After two runs by William Powell, Lauther kicked the winner.

Paredes compelled beyond regular time with a 47-yard field function with 59 seconds left in law.

The teams blended for eight turnovers, six within the first half. Riders quarterback Cody Fajardo threw four interceptions, and Calgary’s Bo Levi Mitchell had two picked off.
