Russia has $15 Billion Defense Order Backlog with India

Russian defense industry is directly dedicated to send $15 billion worth of military hardware to India and expects another agreement for Igla-S MANPADS soon.

“Everything is going easily with Indian accomplices. We have a decent excess of requests, equivalent to around 15 billion. I trust that sooner rather than later an understanding will be marked on the creation and flexibly of Igla-S in light of a legitimate concern for India, particularly since we have won the delicate genuinely,” Dmitry Shugaev, top of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC), advised during a meeting to Zvezda channel, run by resistance service.

Shugaev uncovered that joint creation of Kalashnikov AK-203 7.62 mm Assault Rifles 200 arrangement is in progress.

India’s mammoth request book incorporates $5.4 billion for S-400 defense frameworks, $900 million for 21 new MiG-29s and overhaul of 59 a greater amount of those airplanes, $1.44 billion arrangement for 12 Su-30MKI planes, $3.12 billion for 464 Bhishma T-90S fundamental fight tanks ($1.2 billion for UralVagonZavod for innovation move, $1.92 for India’s OFB for neighborhood creation), $3 billion ten-year rent contract for atomic fueled Akula submarine, $940 million for 2 Talwar-class frigates, $960 million for 2 Admiral Grigorovich-class covertness frigates, and $1.1 billion for 48 Mi-17 helicopters.

Russia is probably going to sack more arrangements with India which is as of now on military modernization binge. On the cards is a joint creation of 140 Kamov KA-226T ‘Gangster’ light utility helicopters for $1 billion, building Project 12701 Alexandrit-E class minesweepers and Project 75I diesel-electric submarines in India under the Make in India program.
