AppOmni- Profile

AppOmni is a San Francisco-based SaaS platform that allows prospects to scan, monitor, triage apps using firewalls and cross controls for managing secure business operations. It has raised $53 million to date, after closing a $10 million Series A in January 2020. With its solution, the teams can define security rules and use continuous monitoring for alerts of data displays. You can also apply role-based policies or rules across business units, departments, clouds, environment, and applications. In its Series B round, the investors who participated were ClearSky, Costanoa Ventures, Inner Loop Capital, and Silicon Valley Data Capital.

The firm decided to deploy the raised funds to grow its footprint and support product R&D as it looks to acquire a new customer base.

On the recent funding round, Brendan O’Connor AppOmni Co-founder and CEO told VentureBeat- “While some companies have taken steps to secure their SaaS environments, they commonly use a cloud access security (CASBs) or a penetration test. Unfortunately, neither of these tools is sufficient to fully secure today’s SaaS platforms”.

Businesses or Information Technology using AppOmni get a configuration management dashboard that Lets them snapshot access profiles, review changes, security policies, and more, right before promoted.

On the other hand, there are several other management services markets namely, DoControl and Sqreen, which raised $14million in April 2019 for its cybersecurity suite and help tech geeks and developers to monitor and protect the web applications from attacks.

The firm currently AppOmni employs over 50 people and offering services to clients namely Dropbox, Accenture, and 500 more. It is backed by Salesforce Venture and ServiceNow Ventures through its latest series B round. Whereas, in last year, AppOmni’s annual recurring revenue increased by over 900%.
