Forming a New Global Village at InnoVEX with National Pavilions

Each year, InnoVEX brings together entrepreneurs and ICT specialists from many nations, bridging the vast global resources and financing for the creative industries. This year, there are numerous national pavilions in addition to the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) leading startups from emerging markets including Eastern Europe and Africa to participate in the show. As a result, it is anticipated that the global innovation ecosystem will energize corporate activity at InnoVEX.

There are numerous European pavilions this year. Information and communications security, consumer electronics, human-computer interaction, and power supply and management are the four main focuses of the French Pavilion. The solid-state micro battery quick charging technology used by top battery manufacturers is one of them. Leading an interdisciplinary group of system integrators, blockchain technology, machine learning for monitoring and maintaining underwater cables, and Belgium’s fastest-growing silicon photonics semiconductor firm is Flanders Pavilion of Belgium.

For the first time as a national pavilion, Italy is represented at the expo, displaying its work on the first integrated query algorithm for vessel-sharing transactions and cutting-edge construction site monitoring. The Dutch Pavilion is back with the slogan “The Orange Accelerator,” which highlights the cutting-edge and environmentally friendly blockchain industry and advertises the brand-new use of blockchain authentication solutions. Finally, software development teams, screen protection, and architectural design software are displayed in the Poland Pavilion in an effort to communicate with innovations from all walks of life using established technology and successful business model expertise.

Eight Startups Graduate from Target Accelerator Program's Fifth Batch

At the Japan Pavilion, 10 new startup teams will also be present, hoping for better collaboration between Taiwan and Japan. The Brazil Pavilion wants to communicate with the globe using established economic and technological paradigms. Additionally, the Israel Pavilion is a leader in information security technologies.

The innovation and inventiveness of startup teams

Startup teams funded by accelerators or government agencies are equally as fascinating as the national pavilions. From more than 200 startups from 38 different countries, 37 technological startups were chosen to participate in the show, including The Garage+. The Far EasTone Accelerator used InnoVEX to foster connection between its cloud and Internet of Things firms and foreign startups while taking part in the expo for the first time.

The three innovation development ambitions of the government—Connecting the Future, Connecting the World, and Connecting the Local Area—are addressed by the TREE Innovation Theme Pavilion of the Ministry of Economy’s Technology Department. The emphasis is on using scientific research to innovate in areas such as biotechnology, semiconductors, information security, and artificial intelligence.

In the small and medium-sized enterprise division of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Taiwan’s newest accelerator TAcc+ exhibits alongside “Linkou Startup Terrace,” “Yawan Startup Terrace,” “National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University Accelerator A2T Program,” “Hsinchu Biomedical Industry and Incubation Center,” and other units. The smart manufacturing, smart healthcare, smart living, and green technology sectors are highlighted in the Innovation Theme Pavilion.

Tainan’s New Startup Pavilion, which is participating for the first time, chooses local innovation as its theme and teams up with organizations like zakka & cafe and Taiwan Pure Culture & Education Development Association to show off the successes of industrial transformation and the limitless potential of cross-field innovative applications.

Creating a Global Exchange Platform for Startups and Venture Capital Through Forums and Presentations

A number of events will also be organized in the InnoVEX exhibition area to link Taiwan to the global startup ecosystem, including: What is New: The future technology and the next startup trend 2023 hosted by TAITRA will take place on May 31. Professionals from multinational firms like Barco, a leader in Belgian visualization solutions, and ITEN, a leading French battery manufacturer, were invited to share information on augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and smart healthcare, as well as the benefits of creative applications in smart homes and other fields and the trend of international venture capital, in addition to imec.Xpand partners and WIEC.

On June 1st, a day-long Global Demo Day event is anticipated. Teams from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Far EastTone Accelerator, and teams from France, Italy, the Netherlands, and Belgium will present application products and solutions for innovative industries, interact with local startups, and discuss their strengths to find potential investment opportunities.
