Supreme Court asks Anil Ambani to pay Rs 453 crore to Ericsson within 4 weeks or face 3-month jail term

New Delhi: The Supreme Court discovered Reliance Communication administrator Anil Ambani and two executives – Reliance Telecom director Satish Seth and Reliance Infratel executive Chhaya Virani – blameworthy of hatred of court in a scorn appeal recorded by Ericsson India over not clearing its contribution of Rs 550 crore in the wake of pitching its resources for Reliance Jio.

The seat, including Justices R F Nariman and Vineet Saran, said the three Reliance organizations did not hold fast to the 120 days due date and 60 days additional given by the summit court to pay the Rs 550 crore to Ericsson.

In its first disdain supplication, Ericsson had looked for activity against Ambani and others for neglecting to pay Rs 550 crore towards settlement to the organization by September-end a year ago.

Ericsson India, which had marked a seven-year bargain in 2014 to work and deal with RCom’s across the nation telecom arrange, had affirmed that it had not been paid the levy of more than 1,500 crore and tested the obligation ridden firm under the watchful eye of National Company Law Appellate Tribunal (NCLAT).
