Tesla recalled hundreds of Model 3 Cars

On Thursday, the central government’s market regulator mentioned that Tesla is now recalling over 700 units of its Model 3 electric cars which were imported to China.

However, this announcement is about the recall of tens of thousands of Tesla vehicles in China and the U.S. in the last few months. Elon Musk’s automaker is now under increased regulatory scrutiny in China in the last several months after a slew of negative consumer and media reports on brake failures and collisions.

Well, on Thursday Tesla recalled affects around 734 vehicles that were produced in the year 2019, as per the state Administration for Market Regulation.

As the car may have seat belt issues which might increase the risk of passengers injured in the event of a collision, or any kind of tire-related issues which may increase the rate of collision as per the regulator.

Tesla will soon notify the car owners and conduct free inspections and repairs.

On Wednesday’s trading session in New York, it was found that Tesla’s shares were slightly lowered in extended-hours trading after a fall of 3%.

However, the representative for Tesla didn’t immediately respond to the email request for comment.  On the other hand, the U.S.-based automaker has opened its factory in Shanghai in the year 2019. Tesla started to deliver China-made Model 3 cars to the consumers in the last year and China made Model-Y vehicles this year.

Well, Tesla’s Model 3 has now ranked among the three best-selling electric cars in mainland China, which is outselling similarly priced models from Chinese start-ups like Nio. However, a budget car called the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV has even climbed into first place in recent months.
