Twitter to let users check out Fleets while scrolling through their timeline

The updates from Twitter states that now it will let users check out Fleets while they scroll on the timeline.

In case you are not aware of what are Fleets, then they are twitter’s ephemeral tweets that disappear from a profile after 24 hours automatically. It is quite similar to Facebook and Instagram stories.

This new feature will come into action for the users on iOS and will be rolled out to Android soon.

The feature can be enjoyed by the users by clicking on a blue circle around a person’s profile pic or avatar. Previously, the fleets could check out Fleets from a separate section that appeared on the top of their timeline, but now they can be savored from the timeline itself, and there is no need to shift to other places.

In case you see a purple-colored circle around the avatar then by clicking on it you can join the audio room, which is termed as Twitter space.

The social audio room was first launched by Twitter in December 2020, debuting it on iOS. And later came on to Android also.

Twitter tweeted from its official account- “Now you can check Fleets while you scroll Tweets on the timeline. When there’s a blue circle around someone’s avatar, tap it to see their Fleets. Rolling out on iOS and soon on Android. (And if you see a purple circle around someone’s avatar, tap it to join their Space)”.

The Fleet feature was first launched last year, and now it enables users on Android and iOS to turn off replies and reactions on their Fleets through direct messages. Not only this, but it will also allow users to add stickers, and more to make it more fun and interactive, so that you can communicate your thoughts or ideas more effectively.

Coming to audio rooms, the platform expanded the capacity to host a space to more users at a time. The users who are having 600+ followers can now host a Space. Twitter is always up to improve the way people interact and communicate over Twitter.
