US to hold China accountable to follow rules said by Joe Biden

The United States working with its allies and partners is going to hold China responsible to follow and respect the rules, said the US president in the recent QUAD meeting. QUAD involves four top nations Australia, India, and Japan.

Later while clarifying, earlier this month, possibly got the Chinese attention, that’s not why I did it. He said- I met with our allies and decided how we are going to hold China accountable in the new region, Australia, India, and Japan, the US, because we have to have democracies work together.

On Thursday, addressing his first individual news conference in the East Room of the White House, Biden stated that soon he is going to invite an alliance of democracies to come to Washington DC to discuss the future moves and working, we are going to make it clear that, to deal with these things, we are surely going to hold China responsible to follow rules, whether it is related to the South China Sea or North China Sea, or the deal made on Taiwan or a whole range of other things.

This meet was attended by around 30 media people from various media outlets, involving two foreign correspondents.

Later, he said while answering the question on stiff competition with China. China has an overall goal- and I don’t criticize them for the motive, but they have an overall goal to become the leading country in the world, one of the wealthiest countries in the world, and powerful. That’s not going to happen on my watch because the US is going to grow and extend in the long run more and more.

Joe Biden, after becoming the 46th of the US on January 29, has spoken with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping over a phone call once, which lasted for two hours.

Later he added- It was very straightforward. He doesn’t have a democracy with a small D bone in his body, but he’s a smart guy. He’s one of the guys like the Russian President who thinks that tyranny is the main wave of the future. Democracy can’t function in an ever-complicated world.

While talking about the moves, it has been said that they will have strong competition but they will insist that China play by the international rules, fair practices, fair competition, trade, and so on. Moreover, to compete effectively, I indicated that we are going to deal with China and we are going to do these things, said the US President.

Lastly, he cleared, we are going to reestablish our alliances, it’s not at all anti-Chinese.
