Rotary Vane Compressors

In this compressor, the air enters the center and is spun by the screw-shaped blades around an outside cylinder. This device can handle a high-pressure input and high-volume output. The number of stages inside the device helps to increase its efficiency and pressure output. They are also relatively cheap to produce and easy to maintain.
A benefit of using a rotary screw compressor is its consistent output that has very little pulsation or surging of the flow.
Piston Compressors
Piston air compressors are used in a wide range of industrial and manufacturing applications. They are often used in many different industries such as semiconductor and electronics, automotive, oil drilling, chemical plants, steel processing, and even food processing. They are also able to be used on a wide variety of applications. Piston compressors use pistons to move air into a cylinder where it then moves through various components making the machine stronger and more pressure resistant. They work by using pistons to force air into the cylinder where it then forces itself out from the bottom of the cylinder.
Diaphragm Air Compressors
They are also known as diaphragm pumps or plate-type compression pumps and they work by moving a thin metal plate up and down inside of the cylinder while it is being rotated. The metal plates move up and down due to the centrifugal force from the end of the piston that moves outward during each rotation.
