WHO launched Global Research Forum against Coronavirus outbreak

A two-day global research and innovation forum led by the World Health Organization (WHO) was launched on 12 February. The forum aimed to mobilize international action in response to the novel coronavirus outbreak. It was held from 12-13 February. Organized by: The forum was organized by WHO along with Global Research Collaboration for Infectious Disease Preparedness and funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation. Global Research Forum: Chinese representatives from the National Health Commission and the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) will brief the forum on China’s research on the outbreak. The experts suggested their views and participated in discussions. Participants: Over 400 participants including leading scientists from virus-related disciplines around the world, representatives of countries with confirmed novel coronavirus cases, public health agencies, and representatives of major research donors participated in the forum.
