Without any lay-offs, Profitable Growth is Wipro’s prime concern

Wipro’s CEO & MD, Thierry Delaporte said that Wipro’s profitable growth is the most important priority in his agenda. The company doesn’t have plans for any lay-off of the employees.

The Wipro team will leave no stone unturned to regain the necessary momentum in the market. Among its competitors, the company is facing its lowest growth rate for several years. Delaporte emphasized building a strong foundation, making bold bets, and a thorough stretch up of goals. He is the first foreign CEO of an Indian IT services company designated in May 2020.

In the upcoming weeks, Delaporte will be working with Chairman Rishad Premji and allied leaders to bring the company on the progress chart.

So far the company has not laid off any of its employees and in the future also it will remain firm with its employees. He also said that, with the vaccine and other efforts, the world would come out of this crisis. With this crisis, Mr. Premji is fixed on investments in public health. He is looking further into remote, virtual and community-based work models.

From the past three and a half months, Wipro Foundation and Azim Premji Foundation has been supporting 80 lac people with nearly 28 crore meals. It has helped 30 lac people regenerate their livelihood.
