The Home dangle committee investigating the Jan. 6 revolt on the U.S. Capitol subpoenaed dilapidated President Donald Trump Friday, and Vice Chairwoman Liz Cheney, R-Wyo., said Trump is no longer any longer going so to flip his testimony into a “circus.”
“The committee treats this topic with colossal seriousness,” she instructed NBC’s “Meet the Press” on Sunday. “It would possibly maybe maybe well maybe take multiple days, and this would possibly maybe maybe well be done with a level of rigor and discipline and seriousness that it deserves.”
The committee voted unanimously on the subpoena and is anxious relevant files and Trump’s testimony below oath subsequent month.
“We scrutinize that a subpoena to a dilapidated president is a valuable and historic motion,” the panel’s leaders wrote Trump in a letter on Friday. Committee Chairman Fetch.
