Ladakh shepherds stand company in opposition to Chinese troops: The incident took situation in the early days of January 2024. The video confirmed a standoff between at least three Chinese armored vehicles and the shepherds.
Shut to the Line of Proper Administration (LAC), a team of Ladakh shepherds displayed unparalleled courage as they confronted Chinese infantrymen attempting to bog down them from grazing sheep, media reports mentioned citing video photos. The viral video capturing the confrontation has garnered widespread admiration on social media. Following the Galwan Valley conflict in 2020, where a violent confrontation broke out between Indian and Chinese infantrymen on the night of June 15-16 in the disputed border situation of Ladakh, local shepherds had shunned grazing animals in the placement.
The shepherds, viewed in the generally-circulated video, reclaimed their grazing rights in the placement and compelled People’s Liberation Military (PLA) infantrymen to withdraw, an act which is now vastly appreciated on social media platforms. Chushul councillor Konchok Stanzin commended the resilience of the shepherds.

“I’d appreciate to thank #IndianArmy for such solid civil-militia family & having a look after the interests of the border situation inhabitants,” he mentioned adding, “I salute our nomads, who always stand to present protection to our land and stand as the 2d guardian pressure of the nation.”

As per reports, the incident took situation in the early days of January 2024. The video confirmed a standoff between at least three Chinese armored vehicles and the shepherds.
Despite alarms blaring from the vehicles, the shepherds stood their ground, vehemently asserting their presence on Indian territory.
Even after the verbal confrontation, the photos does no longer point to any violent act taking situation.
