Notably, UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres provided a message on the behalf of the organization, “Today, on the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action, we reflect on how far we have come in raising awareness of the dangers posed by landmines and recommit to our target of a mine-free world.”

In the year 2021, the United Nations has pledged to highlight how “Perseverance, Partnership, and Progress” have now carried out the mining sector through the challenging year due to pandemics. However, the UN will progress its effort to mitigate the threats of improvised explosive instruments. Moreover, the landmines and explosive weapons which will be will be cleared, existing schemes and capacity growth of national partners will persist.

Well, the mine action community will be conserved to adapt and assure progress towards a society that is free from the threat of landmines and unexploded ordnance. Through ceremonies and speech, the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action will be celebrated on 4th April 2021 by the UN officials and leaders.
