At 9:34 pm in evening hours of Thursday (Apr 4), Chamba used to be jolted and the tremors reverberated strongly at some level of town and even reached as far as Manali, roughly 100 km away.

According to the Nationwide Center for Seismology, the earthquake struck Chamba at a depth of 10 kilometres.

Divyanshu, a resident of Manali, reportedly described feeling the tremors intensely, citing, “Felt rather solid tremors in Manali. It lasted for roughly seven seconds.”
