CANADA – On Wednesday a total of nine billboards went live towering over a major highway in Greater Toronto, with a message saying “Thank you, India & PM Narendra Modi- For providing Covid vaccine to Canada, Long live Canada India Friendship”. Also, four more locations are scheduled for Monday in the town of Brampton.
These billboards are being sponsored by an Indo-Canadian community group across the Graeter Toronto Area (GTA) to praise the support by the Indian PM for offering covid vaccines at the request of Canadian PM Justin Trudeau.
The boards having an image of PM Modi while having a backdrop of India and Canada flags reads- “Thank You, India & PM Narendra Modi”, adding, “Long Live Canada-India Friendship
The President of Hindu Forum Canada Rao Yendamuri said- “Our objective is to highlight the natural friendship between India and Canada and to highlight this positive development with India sending vaccines to Canada.
On Wednesday, the first shipment of covid vaccines arrived in Canada and a total of 2 million vaccine doses will be exported to Canada by coming mid-May as per the deal, while India has not ruled out supplementary consignments.
These billboards convey the positive wave of people’s spirit as they are highly pleased that their campaign commenced on the eve of the first anniversary of the WHO (World Health Organization) declaring the covid-19 disease as a pandemic.
