The ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) in Tamil Nadu gave 10 seats to Congress within the affirm and neighbouring Puducherry for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Besides the one Puducherry seat, the Dravidian event awarded the Congress nine seats in Tamil Nadu.

While addressing the newshounds, Venugopal expressed confidence that the DMK-led mix would fetch all 40 seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and claimed that the ‘bonding’ between the Congress and the DMK “is intact.”
