Jaguar Land Rover (JLR)’s Open Innovation programme was officially introduced by Tata Consultancy Services and JLR in Tel Aviv. As part of JLR’s Reimagine strategy, the project will promote innovative, disruptive mobility technologies and develop partnerships between JLR and Israeli business organisations, start-ups, scale-ups, investors, and academic institutions.
Since joining together with JLR more than ten years ago, TCS has helped the company succeed in important transformational projects across its value chain, including sustainability and digital services. This most recent agreement will aid in JLR’s Open Innovation program’s expansion to Israel and boost its Reimagine strategy, which aims to hasten the company’s transition to an electric-first, opulent future.
In order to find local technology products and scale them to provide global mobility solutions and services, the programme will make use of TCS’ Co-Innovation Network in Israel. Electrification, connectivity, digital services, metaverse, intelligent enterprise, manufacturing, supply chain, and sustainability will all be topics of discussion.
“We are delighted to extend our Open Innovation programme to Israel and leverage the research and technology innovation excellence of TCS,” said Igor Murakami, Director, New Services, Software and Open Innovation, JLR. The co-creation of ground-breaking solutions for JLR’s Reimagine plan will be accelerated thanks to TCS, a global leader in digital and business transformation.
The plan will be essential for giving us a presence in the area and creating chances for innovation with a variety of innovative Israeli start-ups to help us create pristine and sustainable modern luxury.
TCS COIN Head Ben Gilad stated: “Innovation is the primary differentiator for success as the automobile industry transitions to electrification. We are happy to be collaborating with JLR to assist speed their transformation and growth. We will do this by utilising our research and innovation strengths in the automotive industry as well as those of our regional COIN ecosystem partners. We are eager to work together to find fresh technological innovations that will power the development of modern luxury and mobility. To participate in this project with us, Israeli entrepreneurs and inventors are welcome.
