Tom Brady’s dad blames media for his son’s untimely retirement resolution

After practically being forced into retirement in February, Tom Brady equipped earlier this week that he’s going to return to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for the 2022 NFL season.

Tom Brady Sr. made an appearance on the “Greeny” podcast with Mike Greenberg and acknowledged that the media forced his son’s hand and that the future Hall of Fame quarterback in advance acknowledged he would no longer return for his 23rd one year.

“They bear been announcing his retirement sooner than he even retired,” Tom Brady Sr. acknowledged on the podcast. “You know, the media made the facts. He changed into no longer ready to make any resolution and didn’t make any resolution, however [Adam] Schefter and [Jeff] Darlington acknowledged it as reality. You know, he hadn’t made any resolution on that.”

Brady Sr. acknowledged after Brady retired he had “time to replicate alongside with his family.”

“They all agreed that here’s the path forward that works most efficient for the Brady family,” Brady Sr. added. “He is satisfied as can be. … It true took pretty little bit of time to form this thing out. I mean, he’s roughly in uncharted territory. So if of us can also appear to command he took a misstep, hey, welcome to our world. Final season, Brady threw for a occupation-high 5,316 passing yards with 43 touchdowns and 12 interceptions to lead the Bucs to a 13-4 narrative and the NFC South crown. After beating the Philadelphia Eagles within the outlet round of the playoffs, the Bucs fell to the eventual Rotund Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams within the divisional round.

“Nothing replaces the joy that he gets being on the 100-yard football self-discipline,” Brady Sr. acknowledged.
