The attacker, Andrad, has been arrested and is coping with expenses of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and tried murder.

As per the charging doc, upon arrest, Andrad instructed the police that he had requested a rubdown on the fitness heart on the morning of the incident.

Upon coming into the rubdown room, he encountered the opposite man (Varun), whom he described as “a slight bit uncommon” and doubtlessly threatening.

Andrad claimed that he reacted the “correct technique” in response to the perceived menace.

The police reported that “Andrad then described (Varun) as a menace to him, so he ‘correct reacted’.”
