Webster’s 1913 Dictionary for macOS

A up to the moment-change to the CSS styling of dictionary results for the Webster’s 1913 English Dictionary.

This is by no plan a “most attractive” styling but it completely feels extraordinary extra aligned with the comfort of the dictionary than old stylings. It is precise CSS — please fork this sucker and originate it even prettier using mystical CSS selectors.

Set up

To install on macOS:

  • Download and unzip the file
  • Birth
  • File > Birth Dictionaries Folder
  • Reproduction the unzipped webster-1913.dictionary file into the dictionaries folder (default field: ~/Library/Dictionaries)
  • Quit and re-start
  • Dictionary > Preferences
  • Webster’s 1913 must be on the bottom of your sources listing
  • Web out it!
